“Working Toward Justice on Difficult Ground.”
In 2023, Tennessee Law Review hosted a symposium, titled, “Working Toward Justice on Difficult Ground,” to honor the life and work of Professor Fran Ansley. The symposium highlighted three pivotal areas of Professor Ansley’s scholarship: examining the impact of plant closings within the global economic framework, advocating for immigrant justice both in workplaces and communities, and reimagining approaches to teaching and comprehending America’s historical narrative. During this event, presentations and panels facilitated discussion and debate to honor Professor Ansley’s contributions and advance understanding of these critical issues.
