As an Executive Editor for TLR from 2015-2016, Alé gained practical skills that ultimately benefitted her throughout her career. Alé said that successfully navigating the TLR article process required “extensive collaboration with a large team, project management, and so much attention to detail.” Alé believes these skills are at the core of being a great lawyer. For Alé, “these experiences have translated into my current practice, where working collaboratively with clients, colleagues, the legal team across the table, and governmental agencies while understanding a very detail-heavy regulatory landscape is key for navigating . . . complex regulatory problems and negotiating transactions.” Most importantly, serving as an Executive Editor developed her project management skills, which Alé believes is one of the most underrated yet essential skills a lawyer can possess.
Alé aims to create a comfortable work environment for all professionals, particularly first-generation law students. She stated, “I truly believe you can be a happy and fulfilled lawyer, especially at a large firm, and I am deeply committed to supporting first-generation lawyers and ensuring they have the resources and mentorship they need to succeed as they chart their own paths in the profession.” What pushes Alé to go to work every day is knowing that she is influencing her firm and local bar association to find enjoyment in their work and feel supported.as they chart their own paths in the profession.” What pushes Alé to go to work every day is knowing that she is influencing her firm and local bar association to find enjoyment in their work and feel supported.
